2500k v 3570k

Jerky/stuttery! I would just normally describe it as lag :D Oh reallys? I am running it all from a mechanical drive.

If you don't have one then the best place to put your money is in an SSD. They're just... Well... Just get one :) Many are well below the £1 per GB mark now.

Can be difficult to find the bottleneck. It's possible it's CPU related. Best is to look at the CPU, GPU, memory load while gaming.

I have done that before, and neither ever seem to be going near 100% usage, infact, I have rarely seen my GPU usage over 80% or so, but I haven't measured it in a while!

Think I may pick up a 2700k and a SSD!

What mobo do you have, be very wary if you have a Gigabyte Z68 board as you can't overclock the 3570K/3770K chips unless you flash their beta UEFI bios.

Even after you do, you end up with no voltage control which is a bit of a handicap with Ivy chips, the cpu fan may or may not work properly, fastboot is unlikely to work either.

I'm still kicking myself over dithering when the 2700K was on here for £200, twice it was available at that price too!! I think it was missing out on those deals that probably made me jump on the 3570K for £150, a move I've come to regret. :(

Odd both my z68's on the beta bios allow voltage control with the 3570's that are in them... They work flawlessly.
