256 exchanges to be enabled from June 2010 onwards

Sadly my exchange isn't on the list. Though it only serves around 5,000 people or so which would explain why.

we have 3,000 people in our town. and we have LLU adsl2+... i think its just random the way they pick exchanges lol

My exchange is listed there - Cuckoo Oak - I had rang up adsl24 asked James when will C&W adsl2+ LLU will be enabled at my local exchange and he say it will between July and October 2010. I am currently with Plusnet up to 8Mb in Plusnet Pro getting good speed all times at 7.16Mbps. Closer to 7150K.

Look like I will be getting around 16Mbps when ADSL2+ come to my exchange soon :)

your currently on IPstream/ADSLmax.

if your line doesnt sync at the maximum of adslmax then you wont get much faster speeds when you move to adsl2+ LLU.

as LLU only unlocks the 8meg ADSLMAX speed cap.

That's a pretty good speed that was ! Am I right this is talktalk pro ? How far away from your exchange ? as mine is 1511 metres away from my exchange. Currently getting 16dB on downstream line attenuation.

im just less than 1km from my exchange.
im on a default 6db snr with talktalk pro wich sync`s me at 18543
then i use my NETGEAR 3300v2 router to modify my current SNR from 6db to 0.3 db there for letting me sync at around 24543. giving me a theoretically maximum through-output of 21meg download speed on a 24meg service.

via newsgroups i download with 30 connections at 2.51meg a sec. downloading about 1.4gig tvshow 720p in about 6 minutes.
in a few games i have tested lately my pings are great aswell as im on fastpath profile talktalks fastest 24FSNDB6 profile. giving me pings of 20 in source and 35 in cod4 and lagfree in xbx360 ect.
and did i forget to say those speeds above that i get are practicly 24/7 day or night.

I'm surprised your getting those kinda speeds 24/7 with talktalk :O
Although my ping in CSS goes below 10. and i'm on 8mb (with ADSL24) still. Would be nice to get those kind of speeds. But with a 35db attenuation i'm guessing i will only get 12-14mb if i'm lucky. But i will try to squeeze ever kb out of my connection. I've also got a Netgear router with a broadcom chipset and hopefully that will let me sync with near to 0 snr too :)

I'm on the list but i read here: http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/ot...anges-from-may-2010.html?fpart=11#Post3851116
That the list has been split up, with only 65ish going ahead asap. While others waiting for BT etc.
I'm preying mine will be on the list, i dont fancy waiting till november for BT to upgrade my exchange!

That's not true at all. (Very) roughly speaking, if you get 80% of the maximum line speed on ADSL, you will get 80% of the maximum line speed of ADSL2+. E.g. I had a 3Mb sync on ADSL Max, and currently get about 7 on O2.
