2560 x 1440 and Nvidia 1030 issues.

Bought a secondhand 1030, an MSI Aero ITX here recently and did not think to check, why would you, on whether it could handle the native resolution of a Dell U2711 of 2560 x 1440. The only info I have found after completely removing the Nvidia drivers and then clean installing and trying different DVI cables.

I finally created a custom resolution in the Nvidia control panel.

Why would Nvidia do such a thing the Asus GT260, this replaced, handled the resolution without issues so why this backward step or am I missing something?

I think Nvidia are expecting people to use DisplayPort for higher resolutions now.

good job im only looking at a 1030 for a native 1366x768 res then it seems lol..


nevermind i see it now lol..

sucks a card with such a high res support cant achieve anywhere near it from the inputs it comes with, not like all nvidia cards have display port or all monitors support it either,

Looks like they dropped the dual link DVI support and it only has single link DVI. On the other hand though it does that HDMI 2.0 which supports 4K @ 60Hz so I guess they focused it on that.

Unfortunately even with setting a custom resolution of 2560 x 1440 it does not look right so will sell the card on.
