2560 x 1440 - How much VRAM?

I use GTX 690s @1600p and have never had a problem with 2 gbs of vram, BF3 with everything maxed never goes below 110 FPS.

As others have pointed out you are going to need a second GTX 670 to get good frame rates.

BF3 @1600p maxed on 4 GPUs - Single player

I don't play this type of game much I keep getting killed too quickly lol.

Thought so! I run BF3 at 2560x1440 with a 690 and have seen frames drop into the high 50's on the odd occasion allthough very rare.

It means they scale quite good in BF3. I have never tried it one one card, I don't play those sort of games. I prefer things like Civ5.

That's because you are used to the slow action of Civ V. No time to think about your strategy in BF3....Go go go go go. :D

Its the same reason I don't drive, I don't have any coordination. I used to ride a motorbike in my late teens and early twenties but decided to give up as I kept crashing (well into double figures).:D

:D :D :D

Very wise choice and I would avoid driving round Hampshire if you was still trying :p

you should be ok i have 2 x gtx 480's ( 1.5 gb ) and dont run out of vram at 2560 x 1600, vram will try to use as much as you have, so if someone with 2gb sees nearly 2gb used dosent mean that's what is required, i monitor my usage on a second monitor during games and never run out.

That res is entirely playable on an overclocked or even stock 670. The only gain you will get from SLI is the ability to apply 2x or 4x more AA on top of the AA you already use.

In all of the latest games, you will pretty much always be above or within 10% of 60fps with generally the highest graphical settings - just without a silly amount of hardly noticeable AA.
