2560 x 1440 - How much VRAM?

I use GTX 690s @1600p and have never had a problem with 2 gbs of vram, BF3 with everything maxed never goes below 110 FPS.

As others have pointed out you are going to need a second GTX 670 to get good frame rates.

BF3 Has never gone above 1.8GB for me

Skyrim modded topped 3GB once as does ARMA 2

Mine is 24/7 @4.6Ghz (Used to be 4.8Ghz, since tuned it done due to heat creeping up)

I only got 5Ghz to join the club

Yeah looks like it. I used to have two but couldn't get them both to run on my board so moved one on.

That's because you are used to the slow action of Civ V. No time to think about your strategy in BF3....Go go go go go.

Its the same reason I don't drive, I don't have any coordination. I used to ride a motorbike in my late teens and early twenties but decided to give up as I kept crashing (well into double figures).

you should be ok i have 2 x gtx 480's ( 1.5 gb ) and dont run out of vram at 2560 x 1600, vram will try to use as much as you have, so if someone with 2gb sees nearly 2gb used dosent mean that's what is required, i monitor my usage on a second monitor during games and never run out.

That res is entirely playable on an overclocked or even stock 670. The only gain you will get from SLI is the ability to apply 2x or 4x more AA on top of the AA you already use.

In all of the latest games, you will pretty much always be above or within 10% of 60fps with generally the highest graphical settings - just without a silly amount of hardly noticeable AA.
