thinking of buying a cheap 2560x1440p monitor, for gaming bf4 ect,
will there be a noticeable difference in the detail and color in games from my 23 inch HP vibrant monitor, BF4 looks great at 1080p.on ultra settings
my gpu is a gtx 670 but don't want to waist my money if theirs little difference.

At 2560x1440, your gtx 670 will really struggle and youll need to lower quite a few settings.

if i dont use any msaa would it still look better than 1080p ultra,
and have decent frames ,i get 70ish now dipping to high 50s in intense battles.

I wouldn't do it on a 670, I was considering grabbing a 1440P panel, but I was going to grab a 780 to go with it as I thought my 670 would struggle.

Ended up not doing it because of the cost.

Depends what games you're playing and what expectations you have. Providing you go into it knowing you'll have to lower a few settings then I think you'll be fine. I've been doing some tinkering with downsampling recently and my GTX 680 copes pretty well in lots of games at 2560x1600.

Obviously if you want to play the greatest and latest games at maximum detail then you're going to need an upgrade.

the thing how much better will it look than 1080p after lowering settings.
if theres not much difference i wont bother.

have you thought about a higher hz monitor, people i know say it makes everything feel smoother. might be preferable to 1440p because of performance.
