256mb or 512mb?

If im playing games in 1440x900 like cod4 and crysis. Would i be better off with a 256mb 8800GT or 512?

(the 256 is cheaper obviously, otherwise id go with the 512)

512mb would be best, some people will say that you dont need it for that res, but with these new games you do.

I agree with tomanders91. Newer games are really pushing it with the quality of the textures etc.

yeh, big difference on that chart

I was thinking the same sort of thing as a few years ago on X1800xt, where the 256mb version was suppose to be faster (apparently) than the 512mb version in lower resolutions
