26" monitor recommendations

I need a 26" monitor that will run full-screen in resolutions lower than its native. As I understand it, some of the cheaper screens will only run in their native res, but this is no good to me as I am visually impaired and can't see a damn thing at high res. I know I can increase the font size in Win7, but it never works well - OK and Cancel buttons are often pushed off the bottom of the screen etc.

Other features I would like are:

USB hub
Fully adjustable stand, or at least a VESA mount for one
Budget is ~£500

Any suggestions?

for £500 I'd get an Acer S273HL or wait for the ASUS 27" 3D monitor

then use the spare cash (should be ~£100) for a USB hub

Thanks for the suggestion. I have had a quick look, and it seems like a good screen, but not yet available. However, the main feature I need to confirm before buying is that it will run full scree 1280 × 720 in Win7, as this is the largest resolution I can see without difficulty. The specs I have found only give its max res.

I picked up an Iiyama 24" a couple of years ago, but had to return it as it only run in it's native res. Anything lower went to virtual desktop or was all cocked up.

providing you're using a modern GPU with up to date drivers it should allow you to select lower resolutions as the screen or GPU will upscale it
