26"monitor what GPU is required

I still don't think the 285 is worth the premium (It's just an overclocked 280). The 1gb 4870 on offer or a GTX260 is a much better buy and only slightly slower (should overclock nicely aswell) and will have no problems with that resolution. If you want more power then the 4870x2 can be had for just slightly more than the 285.
 
+1 for avoiding the 285. It's extremely overpriced. Get a 4870 1GB, a cheap GTX280, or an HD 4870 X2.
 
Hanns-G 26"?

Thats the monitor i got, paired with a 1gb 4870. Run everything i play max'd out, fallout3 is prob the most challanging thing i play on it tho.

£310 for a 285 is crazy!

yep ordered the Hanns, thanks very much for the advise guys
always been a Nvida fan, But..... the bargain prise/perforamnce of the 48701gb
can not be ignored,
