hi there i have a issue with my CPU.

when im rendering under load 2 of the cpu cores drop from windows.

i loose 2 cores 4 threads and it causes my system to Bluescreen.

when the system reboots the board will not post. cpu error light remains lit.

ive tryed my friends 2500k in the system no issues.

tryed a fresh os same.

updated bios.

set everything to stock.

ive been running the system on auto voltage @42 multi.

it seems to be getting worse. ive even tried raising the vcore to 1.35 and 1.38 as high as dare go no change.

ive been running a coolermaster V6 on it and temps have never gone over 55.

could you advise.

Auto voltage is a nasty thing, when it needs power...it can auto to over 1.4v (I done the same when I first OC'd my 2500k...noticed luckily within a few seconds and turned the test off).

How long have you had it for?
Id say if you only had it a short time, it would be manufacturer faulty cores...if you had it a while, the auto voltage has probably fried them.

wow never new that well damm i thought i was safe with the auto voltage as i asumed it was the stock vid ?

so what my asus p8p67 has killed my chip with auto vcore ?

the thing is i use my system for my work like everyday atm im having to run it with no turbo on at 1.35 to keep it stable and tbh it can die at anytime. had 4hrs from it fine had 10 seconds died. its totally random.

not having my system for weeks waiting for RMA will kill my workload :(

5ghz wow now id love to render on that badboy tbh with my needs editing video. productions in 3DS and c4D AE + misc i just need a stable cpu that can pump some power without melting the ice caps lol.

i was thinking of diving into a nice watercooling setup but tbh i need my system to be stable for hard renders lasting over 30hrs.
