Hi, i have started overclocking my 2600K I have got up to 4.7GHz with no problems.
My vcore is at 1.32
Heatsink is a noctua D14

I have stopped overclocking as my max temp is 72c.

I would like to push it more but I'm unsure on what's the max safe temp for 24/7 use?

:)

No Idea about the D14 for me although the SB chips do tend to run relatively cool anyway.
Maybe try reseating it with new (maybe better) TIM.

That temperature is absolutely fine for that clock/voltage/cooler combination.

The tcase on the cpu is 72ºc (often wrongly reported as the max) but max temp is 98ºc.

What is your CPUPLL at, as if you lower it to 1.75 or 1.70 you might shave off a degree or two from the max temp you get under load.

i have a 2600k @ 4.8 with a D14, and i hit 72 max. so your not far off.

thats with MX4 TIM after 24hours folding.

Ok could someone check my BIOS settings and tell me if you would change anything to lower temps or anything you would change anyway.

Not related to the temp, but you should be able to set your ram manually to 9-9-9-24.

You could try dropping your CPUPLL to 1.65 and your vcore to 1.320 and check for stability, it would be worth at least 1 or 2ºc
