hi there, i have a 2600k @ 4.2ghz at the moment......this is in a gigayte z68-ud7 mother board.......

when i up the multi to 44 or higher the system doesnt boot......

so it must be the vcore needs tweeking.....this is where i get stuck.....

this is what i have so far:

under M.I.T (Mb Intelligent tweaker)

cpu vcore

it varies from :

Vcore - 1.308 ~ 1.320

under Advanced Voltage Settings

load Line - Disabled
cpu vcore - 1.350 - Auto (this is how it looks in bios.......i can change auto to any value but it seems the 1.350 stays the same)

Now with my current overclock, running prime i get:

Vcore as read on the following monitors:

Easy tune idle 0.972v , Core Temp idle Vid 0.9807v , Touch bios idle 0.97v , Cpuz idle 1.044v

Core Temp load vid 1.3561v , Touch bios load, 1.27v , cpuz load 1.044v

i didnt check easy tune under load......but would have thought it was the same as the Touch bios........

So just wandering what is the actual voltage being used when clocked @ 4.2ghz?

bios vcore = 1.308v ~ 1.320v
bios avs = 1.350
Touch bios = 1.27v
Core temp vid = 1.3561

confused........as i dont know what to set the vcore to, in order to up the multi.....

cheers chris

thanks for the reply.....so i just keep upping the vcore till it boots and and is stable in prime?

so what is the actual vcore voltage?

the 1 it says in touch bios or the 1 i set in bios?
