2600K worth upgrading?

I'm not seeing much of a reported advantage in upgrading my 2600K to a 3770K (most my mobo will take).

Any thoughts on the benefits?

what are you looking to get out of an upgrade?

are you running with an OC on the 2600k? if not putting one on might give you the performance increase you're after.

Personally speaking I'm quite happy with my 2600k right now, its not causing me any issues with the stuff I use the PC for.

Unless your 2600K is a poor overclocker then there is no point in moving to a 3770K. The latter is at best 10% quicker clock for clock but generally overclock 100-200Mhz less on average (thus negating any IPC benefits).

x99 or next ddr4 platform bro. dont bother if its z97 same **** like 10% performance increase tops.

slightly higher physics scores in benchmarks that's it
