2666 Sodimm native for NUC

I bought a Crucial Balistix 32GB Sodimm set (2x16GB) to use on my new i3 10 series NUC. When installed the bios stated that it ran at 2400 even though Crucial advertise at 2600. Contacted Intel to see about using XMP to uprate it.

However the response from intel was that XMP isn't enabled (and I certainly can't see it anywhere in the bios) also that it will invalidate any warranty on the machine.

So the only other option if you can't XMP the ram is to change it to one that runs nativly at 2666. The only choice Intel give on the usual compatability array is a Samsung module of 32GB single or 16GB single that costs a fortune and no one stocks.

The other brand is Corsair, they produce CMSX32GX4M2A2666C18 however I can't see if this is native 2666 or again will run at a lower speed.

Does anyone know or can help?

What's the CPU model?

Am I right in saying that what they're telling you is that you need the SPD to be programmed to boot at 2666 because you can't change the speed in the BIOS? Corsair publish this information on their website if you google the model number.

The machine is NUC10i3FNK with processor Intel® Core™ i3-10110U Processor (4M Cache, up to 4.10 GHz)

My understanding is that (reviews on amazon show) that the memory is stock clocked at 2400 from Crucial but you have to adjust it by overclocking it to 2666 using XMP. However Intel don't allow XMP it seems on these NUCs. They are saying that I have to get memory that is stock speed at 2666 which is why I was looking at the Corsair.

Yeah, this is not unusual with OEM systems unfortunately. It's a pain. I'm almost certain that you'll find there are more memories that will boot at 2666, but getting that confirmed isn't simple. You could try emailing the manufacturer, Corsair are usually pretty responsive.
