I received this lcd about a week ago and I have made small progress in getting dvi-d digital output. I had to use a nvidia based (geforce 2) pc via vga to dvi (analogue) to get a picture, but anything via dvi-dvi will not post.
I heard that the edid is the problem and also read topics on how people used a dvi-hdmi converters to run their pc on initial start up then swap to dvi-dvi cable.

I followed the steps listed on the forum above, I managed to get the edid from the vga – dvi connection, I then changed the edid code from analogue to digital and saved the new edid file. The file flashed fine as I now have dvi-d picture when I use dvi-dvi, even on re boots, but when the machine starts I get garbled text via the bios screen and windows loading screen, but once I get into windows the display if fine.
However when I swap to my ATI gaming machine it’s the other way round, when using dvi- dvi I get perfect bios screen and initial boot up, but when the windows logo screen finishes loading the screen shuts off and goes into power saving mode, this has happened both time in dv-dvi, or dvi-hdmi, I do not have a vga port on my ati gfx card.
Does the LG have a none issue with ATI cards, does anyone here have a LG 26lx2r running fine with either a x800, or x1800 series gfx card???
any help would be gratefully appreciated
