Hi guys,

I'm looking to upgrade my current monitor which is a Benq XL2411 24" 1920x1080 res tn screen. I've had it for about 3 years now, and whilst it's good in games, I think it's far too bright for daily usage and it sometimes hurts my eyes. I also like to edit high resolution raw camera files in Photoshop and Lightroom, but I'm also an avid gamer in my spare time playing the likes of Battlefield 1, WoW and Battlefront etc. so that's really what I'm using it for.

Here is my current system spec (ordered with OC), but I've swapped in a Gigabyte G1 gaming GTX1070 gpu (which I have to say I'm very impressed with, I'm actually not thinking there would be a massive point at present to upgrade this to a 1070ti or higher).

Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell)
Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA
TeamGroup Vulcan RED 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit
NZXT Phantom Enthusiast case

I'm thinking an IPS display is probably where I'm heading, but I'm wondering if going from a 1ms 144hz display is going to be something I'll massively notice? I tend to play WoW more than the other games in all honesty.

I've been looking at the Dell U2715H, but recently spotted the U2717D which seems like a panel that is made my Samsung. I've also heard about the Dell S2716DG but it looks like a tn panel which I'm now wondering is really right for me?

My budget would be around the £600 mark, but I'm open to suggestions, I don't think I would benefit from 4k res or anything bigger than a 27inch really.

Hoping for some advice on which way to go!

Many thanks

Thanks for the responses, I think I will save up a bit more and get the right one. I think at the moment I'm looking at these two:

ViewSonic XG2703-GS or

Samsung LC27HG70QQUXEN

I've had a Samsung screen in the past and generally have always been very happy with their screens. At the moment I'm leaning more towards the Samsung, but I'm unfamiliar with quantum dot vs ips? the reviews seem very good though on both. What would you guys recommend?

Got a pic? would love to see! I'm guessing the Viewsonic has been around longer than the Samsung model, I get the impression not many folks have gone for the Samsung so far.

No worries. At this moment I'm still considering the Viewsonic, but I'm intrigued by the Samsung offerings, Samsung LC27HG70QQUXEN also comes in a 32" variant as well for only £40 more, I've heard mentions they also come in g-sync variants, but had no luck finding this online, would anyone know further?
