Hi,
Please can anyone recommend a good 27" 1440p monitor ? For gaming and general use. Budget around £350. If it's a few quid more that's ok

Thank you

LG 27GP850-B

LG's 27" 2560x1440 variants of "Nano-IPS" have blast from 15+ year ago garbage for contrast.
And that area isn't strong point of IPS to start with!

So that monitor is incompatible with anything but good room illumination with its in reality 800:1 level contrast.
LG must be smoking some strong substances to keep making such office monitor contrast panels for gaming.
(neither is colour gamut actually widest at DCI-P3 despite of hype)

Though overdrive tuning is absolutely superb with Normal mode perfect for whole refresh rate range with good response times and minimal overshoot.
Still that helps only when having that good room illumination to hide panel's incapability to showing black/dark content.

AU Optronics panel in MSI MAG274QRF-QD is far better balanced with 40-50% higher contrast than in Nano-IPS panels giving better black than typical for IPS.
(though still far cry compared to VA for use in darkened room)
And colour gamut is truly wide covering also AdobeRGB with deeper reach in greens/cyan giving vibrant foliage/vegetation and sky/water in nature depicting games.

Though overdrive is more typical with different modes optimal for 120Hz and below gaming and for above 120Hz gaming.

Also price is now bank account/wallet friendly after major price hike.
MSI 27" MAG274QRF-QD 2560x1440 IPS Quantum Dot 165Hz 1ms FreeSync/G-Sync Widescreen LED Backlit Gami (SKU: MO-015-MS) = £358.99
