I want to join the 27 club, but want to go to 2560 at the same time. I still play games from time to time, also looking forward to BF4, so want a monitor that can keep up with fast paced FPS. A lot of the monitors I have looked at seem to suffer from lag issues, are there any low input lag 2560 monitors out there, budget is up to £800

The vp2770-led has about the lowest input lag of all the 1440p IPS monitors.
Can be had for just under £500.

You'll want a 27" with only a DVI input. Those with HDMI etc have scalers and generally run at much higher input lag. The Hazro HZ27WB is one such model but old now. The majority of others are the fleabay variety that I can't link to (some will also do 120hz).
Having just checked prad they did measure the VP2770 as reasonably low at around 12.4ms. For some reason TFTCentral has it at 26ms.
