27" 3d Monitor for AMD card

Hmm, the Samsung S27A950D is specifically designed for AMD cards. However, while I think it's an amazing monitor for the price when gaming at 120Hz in 2D, I can't say I found its 3D mode very inspiring. First of all, 3D gobbles up your frame rate (I'm on an overclocked 7970) and second of all there was some ghosting and crosstalk.

Not sure if other monitors do a better job, as this was the only time I gamed in 3D. However, unless you're running 2 7970s my advice is to just forget 3D altogether (unless of course you've already seen it and like it)

I love my Samsung S27A950D

There is some cross talk / ghosting in 3D but its still fun to use 3D occasionally.

120Hz 2D is amazing on it.

AND it looks EPIC on your desk! Seriously!

Recommened.

I have the S23A700D and imo the 3d on certain games is brilliant. For the bad frames just disable AA or use power 3d. There's several variable options in Tri-Def to adjust things for better frames or IQ.

FPS games in 3d isn't great imo but games like AC, Sleeping Dogs, Batman etc are the best for it. Some people say Borderlands 2 is great in it but it depends entirely on the person.

Of course the 2d-3d on-board conversion is terrible, you need to use Tri-Def software to experience it properly.
