Hi,
first of all i would like to advice those who game on 120Hz screens to never ever ever ever go back to 60Hz screens specially those who like FPS gaming, the performance difference is HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

the reason why i said "bad" screen wasn't for the fact it is a 60Hz screen but because the image quality of Ps3 games through HDMI @ 1080p looks TERRIBLE unless the game already has high res for example a game like joe danger with low res looks like a Ps1 game while Kz3 looks nice.

i'm clueless when it comes to monitors although i'm learning slowly (through bad lessons like buying this iiyama,£20 to return it back) so i need to know why this iiyama 27" doesn't display Ps3 games in good quality like all the tv's & monitors i've used in the past 3-4 years ?? is it because this monitor maybe is not 1:1 ? sorry i dont even know what 1:1 but i read a lot of comments that people should go for screens that does 1:1 !! so i thought this could be it. what do you think ?

i did try a hdmi/dvi cable same results,i also tried a more expensive gold plated 1.4 hdmi cable,it seems this monitor is not made to display low res (576p) games like joe danger & smash cars in good quality,it makes these games look like ps1/early ps2 games but games like Kz3 look really nice.

tbh i'm not going to bother with 27" screens anymore, they're too big & i think res is too low,1080p is not sharp enough for such big size screen.

Send the bugger back!

:D

I have been itching to buy a new monitor since i accidentally burned a bit of an image into my DGM 24" monitor which was an excellent buy from overclockers a few years ago. I thought about a 27" but i really think it will be too big and i will have to move my head rather than just my eyes during gaming so i think another 23"-24" monitor will do me. Would like one of them 23" samsung 120Hz but i look at the price and think i will wait a bit longer.
