27" iMac at 5K Resolution

Anyone use their iMac at 5K Resolution (no scaling). Providing it is close enough (?) is it still usable?

I'm trying to decide whether to get one, or not.

For me, it is usable but not comfortable. 5K @ HiDPI 1440p (default) is just perfect for me.

I use mine at the default resolution of 2560x1440. It's certainly readable if you go up to 5120x2880 but you'd need to be about half an inch away to read it properly.
