I'm looking for a new 27inch screen that I can use for photography with a MAC mini, so an IPS panel 99-100%SRGB but also want to connect an xbox series X for gaming. So presumably 2xHDMI.

I've been looking at Dells as I'm a long time user, still using a dell2407!

UP2716DA or U2720Q if I decide to go 4k (but only has one HDMI)

Any others I should be looking at for dual use for around £4-700?

it has a VA panel and those are meh compared to IPS for content creation..
You should check model first before saying what panel it use. It use IPS panel, and combined with quantum dot it produces very wide color gamut, hardwareunboxed recommend it for gaming and content creation too, it is very good for both workload without compromises, and new firmware also enable srgb mode which was only minus this monitor got from hardwareunboxed.

Also contrast is actually good for IPS, unlike in contrast from 15 years ago LG panel monitors.

My bad actually - Didn't realise it was a new model.

I picked up two Lenovo G27Q-20's recently, one for me and one for the wife. It's apparently NOT based off the same LG Panel as the Dell and LG, but something else, but it's a late 2020/early 2021 design, so theoretically (along with the official 165Hz support) tells me the panel is a newer one.

Reviews are a little slim, and HUB for example haven't reviewed it (unfortunately), but its Freesync and Gsync Compatible, HDR400; 165Hz, IPS, and features DP and HDMI; has an SRGB mode and bar a little of the usual backlight bloom which pretty much every IPS I've seen has had to some degree or another; colours etc have seemed fairly decent. Better than either of my work IPS Dells, or my HP Omen 17's built in IPS panel.

I mean, it's no OLED, but I suspect after you tweaked the colour settings/put it in RGB and tweaked from there, thanks to the IPS panel, it should be reasonably accurate. Spec says 99% SRGB coverage.

Given it's cost me £250 each and I've seen that same offer several times, figured that might be worth considering :)

My main criticisms are the stand is basic, with no height or twist adjustment (it does have pivot), and there's only one HDMI port, not two. Considering the Dell and LG are often (aside offers) considerably more expensive (closer to £350-400), it may be worth considering :)

The only other minor criticism for the £250 price is that very occasionally on switch on/out of standby (showing the picture anyway) comes up on the OSD saying input not supported (at 1440p165) BUT a quick power cycle or res/refresh rate change resolves that; just seems like occasionally it doesn't quite read the incoming signal right, as amusingly it will be SHOWING the picture in the background when that comes up. Could be rubbish cables etc as well. It's really not a bother though, and given the combo of res, refresh rate and overall spec, I'm really very happy with them at £250 each. Lenovo throw in a 3 year warranty too.

Lenovo do provide a driver/colour profile for the screen, god knows how accurate it actually is, but it's there. User reviews I have found other than myself all seem to be pretty happy for the money too.

I have the overdrive setting set to normal; which is apparently 5ms, extreme is 3ms, and there is some sort of MPRT black insertion mode which is apparently only 1ms, but normal has been fine for me. I've been tempted to try extreme, but as my work laptop can only send 60Hz to it; I decided to leave it incase it caused any artifacts or overshooting :)

I've been using mine day in day out for work and for play; and really been rather happy since picking it up, baring in mind £250 is usually the price point for VAs or even TN panels, with this res and higher refresh rate.

A HDMI Switch would cover the additional HDMI you mentioned, and a much lower price.

One German review gives same level of contrast as in LG's Nano-IPS panels.
Of which LG has "narrow" sRGB gamut version also in their own monitor.
