I'm currently the proud owner of a Dell 24", I can't remember the model off-hand and I'm at work so I cant look it up right now. But it was kinda expensive at around £450. But recently I've fancied getting a larger screen for gaming. I currently have a GTX580 which I find is pretty well matched to the resolution I run at, 1920 x 1200, so ideally I'd like to keep this resolution... But I'm also thinking that there are more powerful graphics cards around the corner, so maybe I can up the resolution and tolerate mediocre performance from my card for a few months.

Anyway, I'm looking for recommendations on 27" screens @ 1920 x 1200 +... Budget is anything up to £400 for this, I'd only consider going over if there is some totally amazing product that I'm just about missing out on.

TY :)

Well I can tell you one thing - you wont find that resolution at that size.
27" monitors are either:
1920x1080 [full hd] - TN or VA panel
2560x1440 - IPS panel

In the first category I'd say stretch out your budget by another hundred (auch) and go for a Samsung S27a750d. If that's too much there's are another thread around here somewhere with basically the same question and a good couple of suggestions.
In the second category wait for a weekly special or some other discount action and pick up the Hazro HZ27WC (should be around £400 then - a little bit more expensive atm).

The Hazro HZ27WC looks like a decent choice, but I think I'm going to wait for Southern Islands & Kepler to arrive before I get one.
