27" Monitor - HDMI Connection

Good afternoon,

Please could some of you knowledgable people help me choose a monitor? I'm looking for a 27" ideally and it will need an HDMI input as my PC runs through an AV amp. What do you think would be best for all round use? It will mainly be gaming, general PC use and films. Ideally less than £400 please. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi all, I'm looking at a Dell U2713 monitor for this requirement. Is there any disadvantage for using a HDMI connection for this? As the monitor is only 60Hz I guess HDMI will be fine? My main concern here is sound, I would need a sound card and potentially cables if I use DVI or DisplayPort. I connect via an AV receiver and the Graphics card is a 680GTX, well I get the best picture and sound via HDMI on this setup? Thanks for reading.
