Im looking to replace my Samsung S27A950 or SA950 as it is also known by. For 2D performancce im more than satisfied but it really do a horrible job when it comes to 3D. Ive tried TriDef on my 7950 and 3d vision through DVI spoofing and on a 560 ti sli setup. The Crosstalk is sooooo bad its a joke. Even using the build in 2D to 3D conversion it has horrible crosstalk.

Ive posted another thread a while back asking if better glasses would solved my problem (they cost around 150 dollars or 900 Danish Krones) but no one apparently knew anything about it.

So what im looking for is THEE best 3D monitor on the market offering the least amount of crosstalk. It doesnt matter what kind of software it uses as long as it is 120hz and uses frame sequential(but if it ALSO supports other sort of 3d modes like the SA950 does thats fine) and is 27 inch.

Thanks in advance

Heavy Crosstalk on the Right Eye, if you switch L/R through software and monitor it goes over and becomes heavy crosstalk on the left eye, suggesting its somehow the monitor, atleast to me.

Ive tried all the so called fixes out there that doesnt help such as:
1) Different Response time(normal, fast, fastest)
2) Different view angel settings
3) Different display ports(even hdmi even though it caps the fps )
4) Ive tried different rendering methods (side-by-side, frame sequential, Top-to-bottom)
5) Tried Balancing out fore/background which sometimes helped alittle but also almost killed the 3d depth effect.
6) Ive tried AMD HD3D, or Direct3d Stereo in tridef screen setup
7) Even the monitors OWN 2d to 3d conversion does the heavy crosstalk

Skyrim was mostly bad when you had a bright background where your weapons would look like you have been drinking and saw 3 of them if.
Torchlight 2 is mostly bad on the main character you control, look like someone put a transparent picture over and slided it to the left.
Battlefield 3 had it to, was shown on whatever weapon i was aiming with and on items with a bright background.

No offence but you must have seriously imbalanced eyesight or some weird configuration.

The 3D on TriDef is amazing when you find the right games, and the 2d-3d is awful. IMO 3rd person games are the best e.g AC series, Batman etc.

Make sure you have the monitor settings configured properly aswell as the settings in the Tri-Def software. Crosstalk is minimal for me on some games and not noticeable on others.

Change settings like 3d depth to try and balance it out and try not to focus on the image too much. In the monitor menu try changing the L/R mode, this solved lots of my problems. Some games use side-by-side 3d which gives great effects for protruding effects but games like BF3 use Frame Sequential to give better view (since resolution is not halved) and give a sense of depth. It's like that in Tri-Def anyway, and also game dependent. I'm not sure what formats Nvidia's is in or if it changes.

The active glasses that take a battery that came with the monitor are as good as glasses come since they're already active and they work at 120hz like the monitor. You can buy a pair of £500 glasses for a Samsung tele but they will not run at 120hz like their monitor equivalent.

There's several RECENT reviews comparing Tri-Def to Nvidia 3d and some games are better on Nvidia than Tri-Def and vice versa.

My eyesight is off?? I dont know why i didnt think of that? I shall make it my quest to tell everyone else this when they complain about crosstalk on the Sa950, cause there are many. My eyesight is perfect thank you very much.

It appears you are missing the point. I am not bashing or blaiming either tridef or 3d vision here. I actually really like the depth of TriDef, it feels much better in games like Skyrim. What i am annoyed about is the freaking monitor. Perhaps its my fault for not giving enough info so here goes:

If my eyes were able to detect or see through the entire cheat of how 3d is rendered, wouldnt i be able to do so on both eyes at the same time? I think its more likely that either the SA950 in general or atleast a good bunch of samples from the assembly line has good very bad and is therefor worthless for 3D, unless of course you happen to have a blury vision to begin with and therefor are not able to see the Crosstalk.

Now it would be nice if we could return to the topic. I would very much like replacement suggestion. Thank you

I don't see how the panels could be so in different if it's just 4 inches bigger than my one. I've only seen a couple of people complaining about crosstalk on the s23a700d. There is absolutely zero crosstalk on the onboard 2d-3d for me, but the 3d is so bad it looks 2D.

Did you watch the chainsaw video on Youtube? How does that work for you? Any crosstalk there?

It is, had mine for a month and love it..took me a while to adjust it and my desktop colour setting s to get it perfect but its incredible for games and anything 3d. Getting another 2 of them this month for 3d surround.

Personally i'm saving up for this bad boy

It's not perfect but it's the best 3d monitor out there by all account

Ive been looking at that.. Sexy looking thing. Just wondering if there is a way to make it work with AMD 7900 series and Tridef using the build in transmiter and 3d vision glasses.. I would be a sad puppy to have to detach myself from my 7950 since we have been through so many great hours of gaming.
