Hi all
I have my nice new 2700k at 4.5GHZ with 1.290V in BIOS, vdroop to 1.264V in CPU-Z. It appears stable at this (still doing burn in tests), but to hit 4.6GHz I need 1.330V. This is not excessive, but temps very quickly clear 70C under load at this.
I am using a Noctua NH-U12P version 1 cooler on this CPU (similar to this but with 1 fan).
Question:
Have I hit the CPU limit, or is it my cooling limit, or something else I can get around? I want in on the 5GHz club!
Thanks in advance
