I've recently noticed that my 2700x is sitting at almost 1.5v on Vcore when idle and clocks are around 4.4GHz at the time. I've got BIOS set to DOCP Standard and everything else is stock.

System is 2700x - x470i

Surely this Vcore is too high? Can I override the voltage and leave the CPU to auto clock as it is, or does the chip need these high volts?

That's just the boost clock and nothing to worry about. It jumps high but only for short bursts on a few cores.
