2700x cooler

Evening guys, just after some quick guidance as its been a long time away from building PCs for myself (2012). I have just purchased a 2700x off the MM on here, but it has no cooler. I was just going to order the wraith prism which is the one that normally comes with the CPU. This cooler is £20, is there anything within that sort of price range worth buying instead or is the stock cooler good?

No plans to OC. TIA

Wraith Prism is not much good. A small tower cooler would be better, but we need to know what case and motherboard are you using. Knowing those helps make sure cooler will fit in case and cleaar PCIe sockets.

MSI B450 Tomahawk and it's getting installed in a Antec p180 (old case I've had from years ago, not replacing just yet)

If you mesure from case's motherboard mounting surface to side cover and subtract 16mm you have the CPU clearance. motherboards stand-offs raise motherboard 8mm and top of CPU is 8mm above top of motherboard.

I previously had an Arctic Freezer 7 Pro fitted with plenty of room. Can't measure as I'm away at work at the moment, but it's a big old case haha.

Wasn't looking to spend £50. Wanted something around 20-30 mark as I'm not looking to overclock.

I wouldnt say spending £30 is skimping on a cooler for something like the H7, I just asked if I was to buy the stock cooler (which I have used stock cooler on other builds when not OC) or is my £20 worth spending on something else that is proven to be better. Not double my budget, I take your point on board, and would agree totally if I was to be looking at ramping up the CPU.
