I'm seeing this in Hardware Monitor... can't be right can it? 2700X can't go that high?

When I compare with Ryzen Master there's definitely some correlation with the live values... but that max value in HW Monitor can't be correct. Can't see if there's any logging option in Ryzen Master though... doesn't appear to be unless I'm just not seeing it.

Whoever makes coretemp needs to get the finger out and make it properly ryzen compatible. It always reports some insane max temp for some reason and has done for over a year now. You'd think by now they would have fixed whatever bug is responsible for this.

Coretemp was never written for AMD cpu's in the first place, it was always intended to work with Intel. In fact it works that well with Intel that when i had X58 975's and 990's under phase it would read the negative temps fairly accurately.

No harm in them getting it to work properly with it. They still update the program so i don't see why its still bugged.

Oh, i fully agree with you there Gerard. It's no excuse for it not to work properly nowdays. As it happens i just use Hwinfo64, a much better app anyway with loads more info than coretemp ever did have in the first place.
