28" 4K G-SYNC

I have a question.
I've seen the video about what GSync can do.
It reduces tearing.

Can this reduce tearing when watching Youtube videos or is this technology related purely to 3d gaming?

Acer has their 4K Gsync monitor coming this September, while Illyama have a series of GSync 144hz monitors coming out soon. According to Gibbo.

And I bet Asus going to be late in the market and more expensive.
(as they did with their normal 4K monitor)

If it's matching the monitor refresh rate to the media being played, I guess it could be applied to anything. 60Hz games, 30Hz YT videos or 24Hz movies.

I guess it might only work in full screen, though. This is all complete conjecture, however... Someone more knowlegeable please enlightlen us!
