If the VA panel doesn't have any ghosting issues, then I'd prefer that because of the better colour and blacks. Failing that though, TN might be preferable, depending on what games you play. Ghosting doesn't bother everyone, and all monitors vary. You'd really have to try it out to see. For video/movie watching though, VA all the way. If I planned to do ANY movie watching on a monitor, I wouldn't even consider TN, it's too washed out on the majority of panels. Some more expensive models do OK, but at your price point they won't fare well.
