Thinking ahead for my 4K upgrade later this year.
I can't for the life of me work out whether I should go for a 28 or 32 inch.
This is my current 2x 23" 1080p setup (I only game on the left one).

I will be using the 4k monitor for both gaming and watching netflix/youtube. But in the second instance I will be sitting further back.

I have to say I think I would definitely go for 30" if it was available but it doesn't seem to be an available size. Would 32" be obscene? or is it worth it at 4k?

Thanks.

I would say that 32" is the bare minimum for 4k. Any 15.6" HD laptop screen will deliver about the same pixel density, and at standard Windows UI scaling, things are pretty darn tiny... and of course, scaling it up results in some ugly applications because of the long bitmap-button tradition :(

Honestly I think 30-32" QHD is perfectly usable, same sort of dots per inch as in a 24" HD screen, but obviously there's some cases where more pixels is desirable :)

I'm using a 32" 4k and think its great size for that resolution. No need to use scaling so no app compatibility issues to worry about.

I moved up from a 27" 2560x1440 and found that 32" was nice upgrade - its not obscene by any measure.
