Looking to get a little more out of my 285. Just wondered what people have safely clocked to so far?

Mine is running at 720 core,1500 shader,2560 mem at the moment...

I've not really stressed it at this, just COD4 on max settings @ 1680x1050

Just wondering what I should try and push it to?

Cheers,

G

/edit just seen they sell some at:
Core Clock: 720MHz
Shader Clock: 1620MHz
Memory Clock: 2772MHz

Mines at that now.

Did a little fur mark stability test and it rand for quite a few minutes, max temp was 87 before artifacts. (lines going down the screen flashed up)

Probably had it go for 5-10 minutes.

Don't know if this is good or not lol.

Straight after that I did a furmark benchie:

Again I don't know if this is good. Temp was up to 67.

In vantage = P14563 3DMarks

Not great tbh, going by what you describe it would seem either the memory or shaders gave out with the temp and overclock, use 70% fan and slowly back it off keeping temps below 80c, imo ideal is sub 75c. Had overclocked 280/285's cards get through Furmark for say 15mins, and then fail 3DMark Vantage, Crysis or FarCry2 bench.

would the reason my score for my 260 is a lot higher be because my cpu is clocked and guru's doesnt look to be ?
exact same setting as guru's screenshot

With my xfx gtx280xt the highest ive pushed was,

Core, 714
Mem, 1251
Shader, 1504

3dmark06 stable at those clocks, 75'c in furmark, 100% fan speed.

clocks in sig. thats with fan on auto and no voltage mod. sits at around late 70's in games, gets up to mid 80's in furmark but stable. :)
