280 or 280x.. Much difference?

hey guys I'm sort of curious about the differences of the 280 and the 280x (XFX Versions), Is the much difference between them?, will I be able to notice the difference If I just prefer to lock my framerate to 60 and really to be honest is it actually worth the extra £70 to someone like me who is only going to be playing at 1080p?

probably about 10 percent.

its like a 7950 vs a 7970 so shouldnt be too much.

at 1080 should be pretty fine.
 
If its anything like the 7950, i thought you could overclock a 7950 to 7970 performance. This is probably a similar story for the 280.
