280GTX spdf cable

I 'won' a Gigabyte GTX280 in the OcUK bargain bonanza and I noticed that it does not come with a spdf cable to connect the card to the mobo/sound card to allow sound over hdmi. Did anyone else with the Gigabyte (gv-n28-1gh-b) get one - did anyone with any of the other models get one? I'd love to get rid of the unsightly cable dangling through my lounge and have sound over the hdmi cable

I will just buy one I guess - but I'm suprised it did not come with it. More suprising is the fact that the manual (paper/online) makes NO reference at all to the spdf plug or audio-over-hdmi

I've got Zotac, SPDIF in the box, had before GTX260 also was in the box & my friens have to, someone forgot to pack it

I got one with my Gainward in the first sell off but my issue is its nowhere near long enough? Can they be bought separately?

i know I can't ask for competitors but if someone could confirm they are available and what the damn thing would be called that would be great.

I'm not spending all this time on cable management for this!

Alternatively, anyone got any idea if you can connect it to a supremeFX2 directly?

they can be bought at auction - will have a work with the shop, if not then I'll be getting mine there! Shame it was forgotten - nice packaging with gigabyte - always liked the company.

Well - I just bought one - it's a CD s/pdif cable like we used to use - so hopefully it will fit - I'm sure I've got some in the 'pile of forgotten tech' but at £2.39 I couldn't be bothered to check - will let you know if it works
