Hey, im running 280x toxic xfired with a tri-x, there isnt much space between them.

The toxic is sitting between 80/90c and i was thinking about adding some fans to the plastic side window to blow or take out the air. There are also two fans at the front of the case blowing at the cards but they are on a splitter, so would like to control these as well?

can anyone recommend what i should do?

Simplest remedy is to remove the side panel-but that doesn't suit everyone.

Trick is to balance positive air flow from front to back making sure you get rid of the heat build up in your case- adding the side fans blowing air onto the cards would work well too I think.

First thing I'd do is find out the hottest card-as the top card in CrossFire always runs hottest, best bet is getting a few hours spare, play a game solid for an hour, swap them round test again and compare temps.

Re-do the thermal paste(might want to check about warranty, if you bought from here, you should be ok) as it will drop a few c-AC MX-4 is a good quality easy to use paste.

Get a fan controller, I have a NesteQ Fanmax 8 fans with individual fan controls that can run in 2X4 on/off-handy as you can run up to four fans low on desktop and turn on up to another four just for gaming.

Or slap an AIO on the top card, along with some heatsinks on the vram/vrm's and you will cut about 20c+ off the top card and the bottom card temp will tumble too.
