280x Fan Speed soikes

Hi,

Recently, when playing games the fans will suddenly spike to 100% speed for 2-3 secs on my 280x and then go back to normal. I'm not too sure what's casuing this. I've updated and rolled back the drivers and it's still the same. Even if i set the fan to 40% in Trixx it still does it.

The cards a Sapphire Vapor-X R9 280X OC btw

Is the temperature spiking too?

What do you use to control the fan speed?

Maybe try msi afterburner instead of trix ? also do you driver sweep after uninstalling drivers and disable or uninstall trix as well ?

Thanks for the replies.

I think the problem was Trixx. I've uninstalled it and replaced it with MSI Afterburner and all seems to be fine.
