280x to 480 - worthwhile?

As the title really. I currently have a 3Gb Asus 280x in my SteamBox. I recently bought a 4K TV so was wondering if it was worth getting a 480 8Gb card for the odd bout of 4K gaming. I don't play many AAA titles so high frame rates aren't too much of an issue for me though a steady 60fps would be nice.

So - ye or nay?

I got the impression from the forums that you need an 1080 (or more!) for 4K...

Depends on the games. I tend to play indie games. Certainly 4K isn't too much of a challenge for my 280x while playing certain games but it's limited to 30fps due to HDMI.

i don't know if you'll get much more performance.. it might help with cooling and power consumption though.
You get double frame rates in 1 game at 4k( from 12 to 24), but generally improvements are in single figures at that res.
