Would it be a worthwhile going from a 280x to a 970? Or should I bite the bullet and go full on for a 980?

I game at 1080p
Have a 4770k sitting at 4ghz
8gb of ram

Don't see the extra outlay being worth it for the 980 over the 970 IMO.

The 970 is the outstanding bang per buck card at the moment.

Obviously if you don't mind paying the extra, then get the 980. Both excellent cards.
