So I have two of these for 1440p gaming but am getting flickery textures and shadows and other artifacting. Googling it seems like I'm not alone with this problem and the toxic. And I was patient so long for this card

So, what can I replace them with. I want to game long hours at max settings in 1440p, does this rule out a 290x? Or am I missing something simple that I could do to fix this? (have other cards shipped with unstable overclocks?)

Well you could downclock it, but that would destroy the benefit of having a Toxic card.

If it's faulty and you don't want another one, you need to get a 780, a Titan or a 290x. Or wait for the 780Ti.

I'd get the 780's at the new prices :p

Are you sure the cards are not overheating?

Two of these is going to beat a Titan by a mile, no single card will get close.

At 1440p though 2x7950s overclocked would be able to max out just about everything, and would cost a lot less. You could alternatively just get two standard 280Xs, it'd be enough.
