I've been offered an EVGA 770 ACX (mildly overclocked I believe) and was wondering how it would stack up against my current HIS 280x?
I've just acquired a second monitor, but will not span across it ie. I'll game on my current monitor at 1920 x 1200 and use the 1600 x 1200 for stuff on the side. Guess I'm concerned about the memory being a downgrade (3GB to 2GB)
There is one other factor - I've just downsized to the case in my sig, and am thinking if I've made a big mistake. I'm having to run it with the side off and it still throttles. It's toasty! But then at the moment, I've only got the front case fan and a cpu fan - I'll tackle that problem when I have time
Whatever, I'm thinking that as the 770 has a lower power consumption, it might tip the decision in its favour. I think the 280x is around 250w and the 770 200w
Thanks for your thoughts/advice
