290 x mantle problems and now DX not working either

Is there anybody else still having issues, bf4 crashes almost instantly and/or has poor framerate in mantle, it worked previously but has decided to stop

The game loads before frezzing around 30 seconds later, I uninstalled driver and reinstalled and was able to change settings back to DX which is now also crashing. uninstalled driver again and attempted mantle which again just crashes the game

290 x 8350

Has anybody managed to fix ths problem ?

Use the 13.12 WHQL drivers.

Same issue (at least it sounds similar). First day the driver released, everything was perfect. Now it instantly crashes soon as I jump in a game. Absolutely fine in DX11 though!

Very frustrating as it performed beautifully when it did work.

I had a similar problem to this. Everytime my game would almost load it would crash no matter which API I used mantle or DirectX. Untill I saw in catalyst that my 290x GPU usage was sitting at 100% even when I closed the game from task manager and just sat at the desktop. I could not stop it from running at 100% until I restarted my pc which fixed it then I loaded up BF4 and it ran fine no crashes. Guess the drivers are still buggy.

thank you, i am now back on 13.12, is there something in the config file i now need to change ??

I read on the forum some one had to change something in config ie turn something back off again ?

Like what? Nothing im aware of unless you changed something specifically.
