overclocking a 2900gt (ocuk deal atm) using the AMD GPU clock tool to edit clocks and ati-tool to stress and scan for artifracts....

i hav foudn my top clock before getting errors 712/1818, i went to run 3dmark06...

had gpu-z open on my other screen (dual screen) and it lowers the clock down to 600 by itself :-S???

can anyone help me to stop it doing this?

Matt.

yep...

i click run 3dmark at 708/909 clocks then it flashes onto loading screen for first test to stock clocks 600/800... then wen i esc the test it goes down to 510/510 :-S?

latest drivers.... wtf is goin on?

help!

Have you got an 8-pin PCI-E power connector plugged into it? Apparently it needs that for overdrive to work, you should be able to clock it just using ATI-Tool, and set up profiles/voltages etc

Although it wasn't 100% stable on mine, I was able to get 800/2000 out of it, but I cant remember if that meant upping the gpu voltage or not, or if it was even possible on the 2900GT
