Go into CCC, advanced the just go to vpu recovery
Not sure on vista.
The game i have problems with is Enemy Territory have sent quite a few error reports and if i was to hazard a guess i would say near to 80 of them.
But saying that BF2 is Dx, if you were using a X-fi card that may have been the problem, used to get it with my old xtreme music in bf2142, the game would crash and sound would just loop forcing a reboot or BSOD

Well i tried oblivion and fear, didnt seem to have an issue - played for longer than i could in cod2 and bf2....its really annoying me now 
In oblivion surely i should be able to max it out with 8xAA and HDR with this card? when i play with these settings it stutters loads and i get loads of hdd activity...surely theres something wrong here?

Nope but i just had a thought
Could it be punkbuster? as it only happens in cod2 and bf2 and both had out of date punkbuster (just downloaded the updater)

Hmm i doubt it would be PB that would just kick you from the game not crash the machine

Well i give up - i reformatted, reinstalled, ran bf2 for a round and a half then same again. I reckon it must be overheating or something, so im gonna take it back and get a GTS instead

Ive went a uninstalled the 7.8 drivers and just installed the 7.5 drivers no ccc and was able to play a few rounds of ET without a single crash, so maybe you can try that?
