Well i won't be posting any results, refuses point blank to boot in my shuttle. Brought up the xpc screen and wanted me to reset my cpu to defaults, did that and just a blank screen from there on. Seems to be getting enough power, i even hooked up a seperate 450 antec to power the card and still nothing, works on my brothers pc though with an antec neoHe 550 watt. :confused:
 
Just pulled the trigger on a 400 watt psu for my sn25p, if this doesn't work im gonna be mildly annoyed to say the least. :rolleyes:

But they are a lot noisyer the x19xx series coolers, i had one on my x850xt and god... it sounded like a wasp was stuck inside :D

Just need the 2900 to include a sticker of ruby for the cooler now :D

Im hoping so, it can power sli'd cards and i think comes with a pci express connector as standard. Can't really understand why i was able to get into the bios if the cards not getting enough power, at the minute im now thinking maybe a cable is dodgy somewhere.
 
Just cancelled the order for the psu, gonna have apoke around in the shutle to see if theres any dodgy cables first, really can't be arsed spending another £100 on something that may be a fault on a wire.
 
At the minute im in vista with the 2900xt in the shutle disconnected a hdd and the dvd rom and it lets me into windows at least. Installing drivers now, can see it taking a dump as soon as i run any games though.
 
Ok some benchmarks, the cod one obviously shows that there has to be some kinda aa bug going on, all tests ran at 1920x1200 4xfsaa 16xhqaf: fx60 @ 2.8ghz

I dunno how reliable these are as i think the card is just barely geting enough juice to run, notice how company of heroes seems to love vista though. In the benches i done in xp the performance for the x1900xt didn't even break 100fps in coh.

No 05 at the m0, i was doing benchies with x1900 in vista64 and xp then 2900xt in vista and xp, completed the x1900 ones last night, forgot about 3dmark 05 though.

edit: added fear and hl2 lost coast benchies.

dloading now, 15 mins or so.

Think its pretty obvious in some of the above tests there has to be some kinda driver issue going on, some of the results between the 2 cards are almost identical.

Works here with no command line for me, are you using the latest version? one i have i have to upload the results to view them.
 
05 scores wil have to wait, system just shutdown half way through.

Gonna re-order that 400 psu tomorrow.
 
Its very obvious though the card does have driver bugs, some games performing the same on it as they would on an x1900 for example. Hopefully ati can get this sorted sharpish.

How are we meant to activate the ati black box thing for the free steam games? I go to the link and its a non existant url. :confused:
