290X Lightning or 780Ti Windforce OC

If you need wc to stop artifacting at 1220 then the chip just sucks.

No way. Overclocking is not guaranteed!! and abit cooler you get more clocking, this is someone who has tested all manufacturers Ti. With LN2 you can control temps exactly. Go say 50C load to 45C load artifacts go away and the GPU is fine.

Tell that to mine that both do 1300+ now on stock volts ;) ( one will only do 1250)

Well mine is only just stable at 1200. If I watercooled I could end up with a wc'd 780 Ti that only did 1250Mhz or so, and that would just make me sad :p Not worth the extra couple hundred notes IMO.

And to OP, if you're just looking to game then get either the 780 Ti Windforce or Gaming Edition which are on offer.

I wish OcUK would ban anything to do with TTL and any mention of him from here on will result in suspensions.... The man is a freak.

TTL what da hell.

This is an interesting question. I believe my sample Lightening is here this week so I will review it on air for ya and then you can see where its at. 290X lightning does look the part and early ES we had was good and I know MSI have implemented what we recomended so... It shoudl be a cracker.

TTL what da hell is about right! I look forward to your results. Please let us know if the LN2 BIOS is really no OCP, no power limit and how high on afterburner one can push the volts.
