i have just received tracking info for my second 290x , but after watching a few vid's and seeing some forum posts i think my 750w seasonic G series psu may not by upto the job of running 2 290x's and a [email protected]
also have 2-SSD's, 2-HDD's, 2-18w DDC's and 9 f12 fans@65%

on to my second question that also as affects on the first one, When running Trixx for OCing the card/'s what is the MAX extra SAFE voltage i can run?
also my card i have now is the bad ram should i just not bother OCing the ram at all?

You be near the mark, assuming you be overclocking the cards, actual power draw will be questionable.

With one 290x on my system I can get around 400w with Furmark and prime (extreme circumstances) but general gaming I pull less.

With the gpu's at stock you should be fine, but you don't have much headroom. If you get problems like the pc shutting off, then you know the cause.

Gut feeling you'll be fine though, a quality 750W Seasonic unit will put out higher numbers without too much trouble.

I had a 760W Corsair PSU shut down on me when I got my second 290X.

I now have a 1000W Superflower, with no problems.

As has been said, you may be ok but very little headroom.

thanks, i will probley upgrade as i will be over clocking, what is the safe voltage?

Well don't be too sure until you can gauge the temps in Xfire. Depending on 'many' factors your OC may have to be quite low.

As for a PSU suggestion a 1000w superflower or EVGA would be great.

Yes i also looked at the EVGA, i will be ordering Monday.

My system is water cooled. the card i have now idle's at 34c and load 47c. as i have ordered the new card i also got an new AX360 rad, so i have 2 x 360 rads for 2x290x's and CPU, i would think this is fine for cooling
