290x or wait

Hi,

Was waiting for the 390x to be released but looks like thats not happening soon so do you guys think i should sell my 7970 now while it's still worth something and get 290x or just continue the wait.

I would be upgrading the 290x to whatever is best at the time 390x comes out.

My budget is 250+ whatever i fetch for my 7970. I just don't want to buy a 980 or something that high end if it's just going to be made reduntant in a few months.

If a 980 is made redundant in a few months wouldn't a 290X be too?

I should have explained. I figure those really expensive ones will lose a lot more of their value when there is better competition.

Anyway thanks for the input guys. So just to throw something into the mix what about second hand 7970 to go crossfire?
