290x problem ,suggestions pls

bought my 290x on release day and its been solid until last night.it black screen crashed while playing dragon age inc,could still hear the sounds from the game but no video,had to hard reset.booted up again all seemed fine 2 min later black screen and since then everything loads ok just no video display through hdmi or dvid , any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers fletch. (card at stock tryed new cable ect,temp never over 40 since wcd)

The only way I've managed to resolve this is to use RadeonPro and create a profile for the game where it keeps the clocks at max while gaming!

Sounds like a faulty card If you're getting no display through various ports on the card.

aye was thinking that mat,the card has been solid up till now. what thermal pads do you recomend mate ? (need to put the old blower back on to rma)

I'd use the stock ones that came with the original cooler, i don't know the name of them though.

they were not applyed very well and were hard when i removed the cooler. thanks for the replys guys, oh, when are the new cards being released matt ? you can tell me i wont tell anyone, honest.
