290x ram clocking

I have the ram stable at 1625, and at 1650 the screen locks up the seconds i click apply.

Above 1625 is tricky on 290/290X cards aside from the Lightning and the 295x2. Only the best clocking hynix cards usually achieve such a feat.

was ram or gpu at max and chance in the other value locks up the system on the spot
i will have a play and report back latter

Edit: What would be a MAX day to day voltage bump?. My cooling is way over kill for my system as i added an extra rad for a second GPU that i just have sitting on my desk .

How longs a piece of string. If cooling's under control 100Mv+ shouldn't be a problem.

1150/1550 @ +75Mv, it strange with a higher voltage the card became more unstable. i did all my first testing at 150Mv, then when i started to work both clocks at the same time it would crash no matter what after dropping the voltage it tightened up and run a lot better.

1175/1600 gave me a lot of fun when it black screened, then when i rebooted the clocks was auto loaded and boom black screen. was a good 15mins before i worked out how to stop it.
