290X upgrade?

I currently have a

4960K @ stock
8GB RAM
290X Lightning Edition 4GB

I currently play (a lot) of R6:Siege, a bit of TW Warhammer, BF1 and will probably play Battlefront 2.

I play on a 34UM95 ultrawide at 3400x1440.

What would be a good upgrade? If I could get a constant 60fps in R6S I'd be happy.

Which is ~£480 or so? Would a 1070 be of any use? Don't mind spending the extra (especially if it means my room doesn't heat up like it does with the 290X!)

A 1080 will be a fantastic upgrade double vram nearly double the performance ( give or take) much lower power usage and cooler running deffo the 1080

I would also suggest 1080. Anything less may prove a little disappointing for the outlay.

I'd be overclocking that CPU as well, getting the most out of any new card. But that's me..

Try getting Strix version of the 1080, it's very quiet and the temps are great.
